I am not sure who manufactured the airbags in 1999 chrysler 300s, but I am wondering what would cause an airbag to have a hole in it and where the hole is, it was frayed, my daughter was the passenger when they were hit on the front passenger quarter panel and passenger door, the airbag deployed but had a big hole in it and was frayed where the hole was, like a flag that has been blowing in the wind for years, I am coming up on statue of limitations so your immediate response would be so appreciated!!!!
The dashboard on my 1999 chrysler 300m has split on the right side just to the left of the air bag. My car has 36,00 miles and has been in a garage most of the time. I am concerned the air bag will not work properly. Chrysler is not willing to repair the dashboard because the year warranty is out. The dash should certainly outlast the first set of tires and the original battery. I also know of several other 300m's with splits in the same spot. Is this a safety issue with right side airbag?
