I am not sure who manufactured the airbags in 1999 chrysler 300s, but I am wondering what would cause an airbag to have a hole in it and where the hole is, it was frayed, my daughter was the passenger when they were hit on the front passenger quarter panel and passenger door, the airbag deployed but had a big hole in it and was frayed where the hole was, like a flag that has been blowing in the wind for years, I am coming up on statue of limitations so your immediate response would be so appreciated!!!!
While sitting at intersection consumer applied the brakes and pedal went to the floor. Consumer's vehicle continued to accelerate, and struck another vehicle from the rear. Then, vehicle caught on fire. Upon impact, both frontal air bags did not deploy. Driver and passenger sustained injuries, and were transported by ambulance to the hospital. Insurance company had the vehicle towed and inspected. The insurance company inspector informed consumer that the fire started from the engine.
Air bag cover has a considerable crack on the left side. Consumer is concerned that the air bag will deploy prematurely or not deploy at all. The dealer claims that the crack cannot be repaired.
I recently purchased a used 1999 chrysler 300m. I had no problems with the car for the first couple of months. After about 3 months I noticed the interior lights began to turn on and off by themselves. Shortly after that my factory stereo went out. The next thing I noticed was the transmission slipping. After that my driver and passenger side speakers went out. After that my headlights began turning on and off by themselves when the car was parked and turned off.
