What owners wrote

A few complaints as filed, shortened and with personal details removed. The first ones are among the most serious reports for this model year; the rest are typical.

I was driving in the middle of winter, I started to smell something burning I rolled the windows down to check if it was my truck, smoke was coming from the back seat. I pulled over and opened the back door and saw my back seat burning. Had to put water and leave the windows down for a couple days, it's so horrible to think that my son usually sits there and could of gotten burned. I got this truck because I have 4 children and I drive to their activities every day.

December 2016 Fire

I was pulling into a parking lot w/ my 2007 chyrsler aspen made a right hand turn and the car proceeded straight and struck another vehicles side. I experienced a loss of steering during a right hand turn. There was a trail of power steering fluid from the point of steering loss to the point of impact of other vehicle. Afterwards both wheels were pointed inward and the vehicle was not drivable. There is a recall on certain aspens w/ this same problem but not mine.

Takata recall. I received a "safety recall notice" for this vehicle. When I took the vehicle in to aberdeen auto center in aberdeen, sd, I was told that they could not replace it because the vehicle was originally registered in canada. What do I do?
