What owners wrote

My wife was driving my 2004 chrysler town & country and smelled gas. She pulled over and noticed a small gash in the side of the tank. She obviously ran something over and it pierced the tank. My concern is, how come there is no protective shroud around a plastic gas tank that sits right under my 3 year olds car seat? Thankfully she smelled the gas immediately and there was no fire. This may not be the case in the future.

After refueling the van the engine starts easily, I then pull out into traffic and then the engine stalls out in traffic. This only happens after filling the tank full. Usually will restart after the starter cranks a bit. Then the van runs fine until I refill the gas tank again. This has happened on numerous occasions since I purchased the vehicle used three years ago. Your form only has room for one occasion to report.
