What owners wrote

Transmission would take five seconds or more to shift into gear after the gear shift was put into "drive". Dealer fixed the problem.

April 1997

I have a 94 intrepid that has a lurch when coming to a stop and has problems going into gear when it gets cold. I was told that the seals installed at the factory were faulty and the TSB instructs that new updated ones be installed with the overhaul. Also that the TCM (transmission control module) be update from a dealer to correct the cold engagement issue, the one I have now can not be updated and I need a new one. I was hoping to avoid the $2000+ overhaul.
