It was another sunday afternoon, we had just left church (me, my husband, and 2 year son and was on our way to see a friend and her newborn baby at the hospital. On our way to the hospital a truck pulled out from the access road from I-20 directly into our paths. We were traveling under 50 MPH and had the right of way....all we could do to avoid the truck was to hit the brakes. Unfortunately, that was not sufficient. Our 2004 dodge neon struck a chevyrolet avalanche pick up.
My car, a 1998 plymouth neon, was recently in an accident....the car was totaled with major front end damage.. However neither of the two air bags deployed despite the impact. I would like this investigated.
While driving at 70 MPH, the consumer attempted to exit a freeway and the vehicle lurched and made a loud noise. The vehicle was pulled into a parking lot and smoke began to emit from the hood. Consumer turned the key off, but the vehicle continued to run. The fire department arrived and disconnected the battery cables. At that time the smoking ceased and the engine shut down.
Car was taken for oil change and tune-up @ 134,000 miles. Couple days later car started stalling intermittently. Would start in the am from sitting all night but when driven to work and parked for 5 1/2 hours car would not start w/o a jump. Mechanic did not read anything on diagnostics. Went to advanced auto who read battery was low. Replaced battery & car still stalled. Car no longer responded to jump and had it towed to mechanic.
