I own 2 dodge rams. One 1999 3500 and one 2001 2500 have broken dashboards. The dashboard have completely collapsed with large chunks of broken plastic falling through the hole and landing on my feet while driving. Dodge has done nothing to correct this. I was told it was not a recall item, and was given an estimate of around $800.00 to repair it. My 2 year old daughter also cut her hand on one of these pieces that fell out of the truck after I had opened the door. Thank you.

Reported at 50,000 miles, February 2006 Injury

While driving, in a frontal collison with a vehicle and a tree. The driver side air bag did not deployed upon vehicle impact. Resulting in injuries to driver. Please provide more details. Mr

October 2002 Crash

Consumer states that while driving and no warning the left rear wheel bearing snap causing a loud noise. Dealer notified. Nlm

August 2002

I have a 1999 dodge ram 1500 and the dash is literally falling apart. I have talked to other owners of the same vehicle with the same problem and have been told that the manufacturer will not fix the problem. I think this is very irresponsible on the part of the dodge and not to mention a safety issue. I have had to shut off my passenger side airbag because im afraid that I could be injured by flying debris if I were involved in an accident.

Reported at 130,000 miles, March 2000

The dashboard in my 1999 dodge ram 1500 developed a small crack about a year and a half ago and has recently spread into a major busted up dash. Also, all the other interior plastic components must be made out of the same material as the dash and are just as brittle.
