My daughter was driving home when another vehicle made an illegal left turn in front of her. At the time of the crash, she was going approx. 40 MPH, but the air bag did not deploy, the seat belt flew off and the driver seat flew forward (and yes everything was locked in place). Because of the accident, she had a strained neck, shoulder, back and because the seat flew forward, her knees were injured.
Tl* the contact owns a 2006 dodge strauss. The contact was driving 65 MPH as he noticed smoke emitting from the steering column. The headlights and blinkers failed yet there were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was shut off and the smoke vanished. The dealer advised that the multi-function switch within the steering column overheated and burned. The multi-function switch would need replacing yet the parts needed for the repair were on back order. The manufacturer was called and a complaint was filed.
Without warning, while driving my 2006 dodge stratus sxt at 35 MPH the bolts on the caliper bracket broke. I had no brakes and had to have it towed. One of the bolts crumbled in the mechanics hands when he removed it and the caliper bracket was bent. The bolts broke and bracket bent on the front driver's side of the car. A bracket was ordered from a local dealership and installed on my car.
