What owners wrote

Within a month of purchasing vehicle, mileage 67,000, complete brake system failure. Could have been fatal and will be if not corrected. Many exact complaints found online. Vehicle failed to stop coming to light. Had to pull off the side of the road into a wooded area for the vehicle to stop. Felt like vehicle was sliding on road. Later realized it was a ABS system failure not sliding. ABS light is on. Brake system needs service light on. Emergency brake light stays on.

I got my ford escape 2007 (42000 miles) completely inspected january 15th. Not even a month later my brakes did not work. I realized I had to completely press them to the floor and luckily I was going up hill so I was able to maintain a safe speed and pull over. I had no warning with my brake light until I pulled the car over and parked!! Inspected a month ago.......nothing!!! Warning.....nothing! 650.00 dollars later they are fixed.
