I have noticed that this issue only occurs when it rains. I have take it to several mechanic and they where not able to pin point the issue since it does not happen regularly. While doing some research on the internet I have noticed that this is a common thing among ford free star. I plan to take my vehicle to a mechanic with the information regarding PCM issue, if this a common defect I hope there will be a recall.
Torque converter is showing signs of failure with van a less than 50k miles. A transmission flush and service including ford's friction modifier did not fix.
