Reported at 117,000 miles, December 2022 CrashInjury

After reversing out of sparking spot in a shopping center I put the car in drive. The car immediately began accelerating at full speed. I had both feet on the brakes but the car speed kept increasing. I put the shift lever in neutral and the engine seemed like it was going to blow up. I put the car back in drive to prevent engine damage. After approx two (2) seconds the engine speed returned to a normal idle speed and I was able to get the car stopped.
