What owners wrote

The rear driver door popped open and won't close. The fan clutch failed 2 weeks after I purchased the vehicle. I thought the transmission went out because it was winding really high and not driving normally. Also the rear passenger doors on both sides have malfunctioned. The window on the passenger rear went out. I have not corrected the failures as of now.

Reported at 81,324 miles, August 2007 Injury

In four different cases on my 2003 GMC envoy the rear door latch mechanisms failed to work. In at least one case the left rear door failed to open from either the inside or the outside. The left rear door has stuck but never failed to open, although it is a fight to do so. The last time I returned the car they replaced the entire latch assembly on the right side, with the dealer telling me they have never had complaints. I found this to be untrue as conversations with many owners of the GMC envoy and chev.
