Brakes malfunctioned on vehicle when applied. The brakes failed as the driver was pulling into a parking space. As a result the vehicle hit the building causing $2500 in damage to the truck. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for inspection and the mechanic determined that the control sensors needed to be replaced. The sensors were replaced but the problem recurred.
Tread face seperation. I have since traded the other three tires and purchased new tires. I was one of the people who had blow outs of the firestone tires in the 70's. This event concerned me enough to get the tires off the vehicle. I incurred a substantial cost to trade out seemingly new tires. I would like to know how a situation like mine can be included in a cliam on the recall to firestone?( DOT number: tire size: lt265-17 )
Anti-lock brake module continues to run when activated in an ABS braking situation. It drains battery, and consumer has to physically pull fuse to get ABS to deactivate. Ts....
ABS pump keeps running had to remove fuse to keep battery from running down I have a 1999 GMC picjup truck. Repair of this pump is $1000.00 most people are pulling the fuse and running without ABS brakes. But the brake light is on all the time so you don't know when your brakes give out. From the resourch I have done this seems to be a very common problem. I believe there should be a recall to fix the faulty pumps. Thank you
