On may 17, 2003 my 4 year old daughter was killed in our driveway by our 2001 GMC yukon. We were cleaning the rear of our vehicle when the vehicle came out of gear and the parking brake failed to hold the vehicle. My 2 year old son was in the vehicle at the time, but there is no way that he could have applied the brake to release the vehicle out of gear. This is something that no family should have to endure and I am asking for help in proving these failures. I feel there are two failures with this vehicle.
Tl* - the contact called regarding the 2001 GMC yukon. On february 13, 2007, the contact was traveling at 45-50 MPH and rear ended a garbage truck. The contact had adequate time to stop, but when she applied the brakes, the vehicle slid into the truck. The road conditions were dry. There was one injury. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed away. The failure mileage was 126,000. The contact took the vehicle in several times to the dealer, and the dealer could not find anything wrong with the brakes.
