What owners wrote
2002 yukon had very reduced braking under normal speeds and road conditions. The brake pedal was pushed nearly to the floor with only about 30% of normal brake capacity. As if the front brakes were not helping. The big issue is that the recall service by GM recall # 05068 has been performed on this truck less than 6 months ago on 8-23-2006. The recall procedure does not correct the defect. Someone is going to get killed by this problem that GM is not correctly addressing.
Brakes failed as I tried to stop. All brake lines had to be replaced due to corrosion. The vehicle was purchased new and is always kept in a dry garage.
