What owners wrote

There has been a recall for fuel pumps. Our car doesn’t fall under the group being recalled. Our accord has been having the same issue. It will stop running when driving. It has happened twice in the last few months. I would like to see if there could be another group with the problem and have not been recalled yet. Our Honda dealership has diagnosed it with a fuel pump problem.

March 2025 Crash

According to my local honda dealer (hondanation knoxville), and based on my own experience, the 2017 honda accords have a known "acceleration lag" problem. Often when accelerating from a stationary position, or even a slow-turn or merge position, there can be a 1 to 3 second delay between pressing the accelerator and actually getting the car to move. This can present a highly serious situation. In effect, the car can stall for a 1 to 3 second period while oncoming traffic closes in on you.
