What owners wrote
I had a medium sized doe run in front of the vehicle while on the highway. I had the adaptive cruise control set to 62 MPH with lane keeping assist and all other safety features enabled. When the deer ran out out in front of the vehicle the emergency breaking did not engage, nor did it flash the warning or make the chime. It caused major damage to the front center and drivers side of the vehicle. The air bags did not deploy. However, after the collision, the airbag light on the dash illuminated and stayed on.
The contact owns a 2022 Honda CR-V. The contact stated while driving 40-45 MPH, the vehicle buzzed and came to a complete stop with the collision mitigation braking system (CMBS) engaged. The contact depressed the accelerator pedal and was able to continue driving. The contact stated that there were no vehicles or objects nearby the vehicle at the time of the failure. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where the failure could not be duplicated; however, the failure recurred.
