2010 hyundai elantra (rented). Consumer wanted to know were there any recalls issued related to defects in the steering, accelerator problems, suspension problems or brake problems *tgw the consumer stated he was involved in an accident, which caused him to crash. Updated 01/15/13 the consumer stated the vehicle swerved to the left, which caused him to strike a pole. The consumer then crossed the median, and struck another vehicle, killing the other driver.
I put my 2010 hyundai elantra in the garage about 11:00 pm on sunday night august 11, 2013. At about 01:00 am on august 12, 2013 I was awakened with my entire garage on fire. The fire appeared to come from the front of the elantra, as both front tires were completely burned with only steel wires wrapped around wheels. Engine is warped and burned. Entire front end melted. I lost my garage and contents along with kayaks on kayak trailer parked beside garage.
Am the owner of a 2010 elantra which was purchased new in the spring and have experienced my trunk open suddenly many times over the past 10 months - either while driving and/or in the garage. Once where it was parked for 4 days and resulted in the battery discharging fully because the trunk light was left on. The dealer claims that I must somehow be pressing the fob button to open the trunk, which has never been the case. The actual fob button requires a lot of pressure to open the trunk.
