What owners wrote
On September 21, 2026, at approximately 9:20 AM, while attempting to turn off the engine of the parked vehicle, the engine failed to shut down as commanded. Due to severe ECM misfire and erratic anti-stall compensation, the engine surged uncontrollably and propelled the vehicle forward. The Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA) completely failed to detect the obstacle, alert the driver, or apply emergency braking, resulting in an unavoidable low-speed collision and slight front-end body damage.
The contact owns a 2026 Hyundai Palisade. The contact stated that the vehicle turned off on several occasions after the engine Auto START/STOP system was engaged. The vehicle was restarted and was taken to the dealer; however, the failure could not be duplicated. Additionally, upon starting the vehicle after the vehicle was refueled at a gas station, the check engine and several other unknown warning lights were illuminated, and the vehicle failed to respond while shifted to drive(D).
