What owners wrote
A few complaints as filed, shortened and with personal details removed. The first ones are among the most serious reports for this model year; the rest are typical.
Head-on collision at approx 30 MPH. Both air bags (driver and passenger) failed to deploy despite the severity of the impact. Bumper detached from the vehicle, engine collapsed, causing an oil spill.
Consumer had accident and neither air bag deployed, causing serious injuries to both driver. Vehicle sustained substantial damage.
While driving 40 MPH clutch failed, preventing vehicle to shift gears. While driving the consumer attempted to low the vehicle but the clutch would not disengage from fifth gear. Upon examination it was determined that the slave cylinder failed rendering the clutch inoperative. The dealer indicated that this was a component failure not a result of excessive wear. The incident was reported to isuzu but they didn't express any interest in the situation. *nlm
Dt: consumer had to replace the windshield wiper unit which cracked twice. She contacted the dealer and manufacturer, and was told that moisture got into the unit and caused the problem. The unit just stopped working with no warning. When replacing the switch the wipers didn't always come on.
