What owners wrote

The outside mirror on the driver's side was replaced with an original equipment mirror from the dealer. The replacement mirror was convex rather than flat, creating a safety hazzard. The mirror did not have the "objects in mirror are closer than they appear" warning on it. There may be a batch of convex mirrors without warnings that can be installed on the driver's side.

October 2000

Six months ago I noticed a crack on the passenger side of the windshield. The crack was noticed hours after car was parked. Two days ago another crack appeared on the driver side of the windshield. Both cracks are similar in nature, and both are near the side columns at about 9.5 inches from the bottom of the windshield. Dealer inspected the vehicle and dismissed any windshield manufacturing, or stress point defects due to chips on the glass.
