What owners wrote
While sitting in traffic, the vehicle all of a sudden caught on fire. There was no warning, smoke started to come from the hood. (heaviest on the right side of the hood) the engine block was totally destroyed. The hot spot appeared close to the windshield. When the fire started, it smelled like electrical wiring. The dealer couldn't find the problem. *scc
1.5 yrs with gear box fault/abs brake lights & check engine-car constantly shut off while driving very dangerous. Code that came up catalytic converter, on the jaguar x-type 02. Dealer won't honor the 8 yrs. Change all the sensors including brakes, had the transmission rebuilt and fixed the 2 leaks, got a full tune up, everything was ok for 4day before all the lights came up again. Still same problems cont... Sat. I hit a pot hole while driving at night. The care went dead.
