Tl*the contact owns a 2009 jeep commander. The contact stated that while traveling 70 MPH the dashboard lit up and the vehicle began to slow down. The first time the dealer stated that there was a problem with the key. The second time the dealer re-programmed the computer. Neither repaired the failure. When the vehicle stalled the steering wheel failed. The contact was able to restart the vehicle immediately after it stalled. The failure mileage was 34000 and the current mileage was 41000.
2009 jeep commander - start car and able to remove key - car will continue to operate/run as normal without key in vehicle. Also key fob will get stuck in the ignition and not come out. This has been occurring for about 2 weeks. This happens on a daily basis. Vehicle has been to dealership to fix advised wire model issue. 700.00 to repair not covered under warranty - however is a safety hazard and vehicle should not be driven.
Approximately 3 months after purchasing my jeep commander, it stalled with no warning. All the trucks lights lit up and the power steering would not work. I was able to start it back up and drive. I took it to the dealer and they were unable to help me as they could not recreate the issue. Since then it has happened an additional 2-3 times with the dealership still unable to help me. All times the truck has stalled out and I have been able to restart and drive away.
My jeep commander keeps stalling for no apparent reason. I had electrical issues with my jeep 2009 commander 2 years ago and now I get the oil pressure light warning and then the car stalls for no apparent reason. The jeep dealership doesn't know what is wrong with the car and have had it for 4+ days to try and fix the issue. I am concerned that this could happen at any speed and would put my family (including my 18 month old son) at risk.
