What owners wrote
A few complaints as filed, shortened and with personal details removed. The first ones are among the most serious reports for this model year; the rest are typical.
The consumer was involved in a head on collision with a telephone pole when she tried to avoid hitting a deer on the road at 45 MPH. The air bags did not deploy upon impact and the seat belt did not hold. The consumer suffered injuries.
Dt: contact stated the driver and passenger's side air bags did not deploy during a collision. There was no prior warning. This vehicle was totaled.
Have had to have the rotors fixed 4 times in 65,000. Car shakes violently in front and difficulty stopping at speeds in excess of 35 MPH. Have never had a vehicle with as many brake problems as this jeep has had. Normally brakes should not require repair for the first 45,000 miles. The brake system has engineering flaws. ***dimsii ivoq entry posted after 12/12/02 cut-over to artemis****768320
