What owners wrote

Front driverside door won't open and all doors lock without warnings with slightest movement of car. Car failed first vt saftey inspection nov. 00 because severe defect with wheel bearings - brakes pads and rotors replaced with adjustments neccesary to wheel bearing as very loose. Four wheel drive checked in november by kia due to possible hub failure, found no problem. First time using 4wh dr, failed had to be towed to dealership (dec 00) all 4wh dr equipment replaced.

November 2000

Auto surges and accelerates while traveling highway speeds. Have had several close calls / near accidents. Dealer "cannot duplicate" and therefore will not do anything. Manufacturer has been contacted and said there is nothing they can do "nothing to fix - if dealer can not duplicate". Have brought in to dealer 2 times. What happens when this causes an accident/injury/ or worse? How can they duplicate it then?
