The contact's son owned a 2007 Lexus IS250. The contact stated while her son was driving at 15 MPH through an intersection, another speeding vehicle that did not have the right-of-way, crashed into the passenger's side of the vehicle, causing the front end of the vehicle to crash into another vehicle. The contact's son was knocked unconscious. The air bags failed to deploy. There was no warning light illuminated.
I was driving on a local country road at about 15-20 MPH (having just come out of a sharp turn). When I stepped on the accelerator after the turn, it suddenly began to "gun", at which point I stepped on the brake and to my horror got no response. I kept my foot on the brake, but the accelerator continued to rev or gun horrifyingly and the car continued to speed up.
My dash board became sticky and I was unable to fiat my windshield program. I contacted lexus and they said the neighborhood of a recall. I looked on the internet and there was plenty of recalls. They replaced my dashboard for me but charge me approximately $500 to do that. They said the car was out of warranty it was a good-faith response. I found the article on abc news in tampa june 14, 2014 the reporter indicated that there's been several problems with lexus nissan cars that have had this sticky dashboard.
The dash board and door panel are disintegrating . They are sticky and when touched it gets indented or the pieces just come off...
