What owners wrote

The car got stuck in a mixture of mud and snow. During the effort to get the car unstuck there was a spark inside of the car on the drivers side. The occupants of the car exited the car and found that there were flames shooting out from underneath the front of the vehicle. They were unable to stop the fire at that point and the car has been burned to nothing. I feel that there needs to be some kind of investigation as to why the car started on fire especially when it was stuck mostly in snow.

Reported at 40,000 miles, December 2004 Fire

The engine light and transmission light indicated a problem to me, as well as the car jerking upon acceleration. After taking the car to the dealer for service it was determined that knock sensor had malfunctioned. Since the first visit to the dealership for service regarding this problem, it has happened 5 times. I have contacted my dealer and the manufacturer and am still dealing with this issue. My dealer has made no attempt to rectify the situation other than replacing the engine sensor over and over.
