I bought this 1995 mazda millenia [xxx] in march. By the time I bought it, the odometer read 65000+. Later on because I had a lot of problems with it, I asked the repair shop to check it's background for me. The carfax report they forwarded to me showed in 2002 it was already 185000. The shop manager told me there were too many issues with the car and it's not worth fixing. From march till now, I've spent close to $1000 to fix various failures on the vehicle. Updated 07/19/2012
The vehicle's air bag system, both driver's and passenger air bags didn't deploy when a frontal collision occurred going about 65 MPH in which the other vehicle flipped over. Also, vehicle was totaled.
My wife and her parents and I were cruising along a state highway at approximately 35 MPH when we heard a loud noise and both airbags deployed. I was driving and my father in law was in the front passenger seat. The airbag hit me in the arm and across the abdomen leaving cuts, and severe concussion as well as burns. Three weeks prior I had surgery on my shoulder for a torn rotor cup. My shoulder may be reinjured. My arm appeared to be broken but was not.
On 2 separate occasions there was a crack on the inside of the left rear and right front wheel, without cause. Which could have caused a tire blowout.
While driving on the ohio turnpike my right front tire tread peeled off but the tire did not blow out. The tread did $3,600 to my car. While at the body shop the left front tire tread was also found to be ready to peel off. Six months later, both of the rear tires were found in the same condition and to be replaced.
