Just woke up one morning, I went to start my car and noticed that it was leaning to the passenger side. I went to a private mechanic and he stated that the lower sensor needed to be repaired, so we did that, it cost around $350 for labor and part. I drove the car a couple of days and same problem. So the following day I went to mercedes dealer and they told me that the suspension arms needed to be replaced, so we fixed that which cost about $600.
The rear suspension began to produce a hissing noise upon parking. The next time while driving a loud release of air was heard coming from the rear passenger side and the rear end of the car slammed to the ground. Now I have to have the rear suspension replaced. This sudden failure at highway speeds, especially in unfavorable weather conditions, could result in a serious accident. Reports of problems with the airmatic system are abundant and not just isolated to my and year of car.
