What owners wrote

The center pillar heat rises to an extremely high temperature in my car. This happened in the summer when temperatures were very hot.(100+) it's hot enough to startle a driver or burn them; this could cause them to react by moving their foot on the accelerator in an unpredictable way, which is quite a safety hazard. It burned my right ankle. I'm writing now because I really didn't know any better then, plus I didn't know about this website. Now there are reports of mini cooper ss catching on fire. I am concerned.

Reported at 3,000 miles, August 2007 Injury

I bought my 2007 mini used 1 month ago. When I went to test drive the car the engine would not start and there was a check engine light on. The dealer told me that they would have it fixed and call me back in for a test drive. I went back and when the car started it had a very slight rattle that eventually went away. Now in the month time that I have had the car it takes me 6 or 7 tries to get the engine to start, and when it runs it has the rattle that has plagued so many other mini owners. Enough is enough.
