On the evening of April 22, 2026, my 2024 Nissan frontier with approximately 7600 miles on it had an electrical fire in the front driver side fog lamp housing. My vehicle has a manufacturer warranty of 36,000 miles or 36 months. I received a denial letter for honoring the warranty by Nissan consumer affairs on May 18, 2026. I believe this is a known issue dating back to at least 2022 to current models. There are individuals posting their experiences on social media.

April 2026 Fire

Passenger airbag warning light is on and will not turn off on the panel after 7 seconds, as the Owner Manual states. This has been happening for 3 days so far. I has never turned off since it was first noticed.
