Reported at 102,000 miles, August 2014 Fire

Filled up the fuel tank and when I arrived home noticed a strong smell of fuel. Looked under car and noticed fuel leak coming from fuel tank area. The car was taken to the local GM dealer and they advised the fuel tank has a 5 inch crank on the top area where the fuel neck hose connects. This vehicle has a prior recall for fuel tank parts that can crack and leak fuel leading to the possibility of a fire. The fuel tanks should have been included in the recall since they are made of plastic as well and are cracking.
