What owners wrote

Every three months I ended up replacing brake pads and rotors on my 2001 grand am. Then one morning I was going to work traveling at the speed of around 60 MPH when the car started to drift left uncontrollably. I ended up jerking the wheel to avoid a head-on collision, which resulted in a end to end roll over crash. At which time the part of the seat belt that you buckle in to broke causing me to become unbuckled and thrown to the back seat of the car.

October 2003 CrashInjury

Bought car brand new. Returned car to dealer twice for grinding noise in front brakes. Each time they told me they could not find any problems. Last time it was in, dec. 02 at approx. 18,000 mi. They told me my tires were low on air???? Now it has 25,148 mi. Took car in for third time with grinding brakes, this time they tell me I need front pads and rotors that are not covered under warranty at a cost of $350.00. The service manager also told me that these cars are know for unusually brake wear.

Reported at 25,148 miles, July 2003
