What owners wrote
On 11/20/20 my ram truck was hit on the right front corner and totaled. We were at a stop light and just started to complete a left hand turn on a city street when the other driver ran a red light, he was issued a citation for running a red light, and was "probably" speeding. We were in a 35MPH zone. The air bags failed to deploy. I contacted chrysler and this is part of their conclusion.
Passenger side tie rod inner end outer separated and upon inspection threads had rusted and they pulled apart in a simple left turn. Luckily it as at low speed, but had just gotten off the interstate at 70 MPH. This could have been a catastrophic accident had it happened on the interstate. Dealership and tow truck driver said they had never seen this on a 2019 vehicle with less than 100,000 miles.
