What owners wrote

Brand new Ram 2500 Diesel caught fire after about 1100 miles. Best I can tell it started around the alternator. Made a low “whirring” or “humming” noise during a few short drives just prior to the event that had not happened before. I was just parking when I noticed smoke coming from under the hood and opened it up to find a small fire involving the alternator and extinguished it with a fire extinguisher.
