The contact owned a 2022 Ram 2500. The contact stated while a company employee was driving at 45 MPH through an intersection with a green light, the vehicle was impacted on the front passenger side. The other vehicle failed to yield at a yellow blinking light at the intersection causing the impact. No air bags deployed. No warning light had illuminated. The driver sustained unknown injuries and received medical attention.
While slowing for traffic, I was struck in the rear by a large pickup. On impact, the driver seat broke, causing the whole seat to tilt back to more than 45 degrees backwards tilt. This caused me to impact the seat at a greater impact than I would have had if the seat remained in place. The seat being in that position after the impact, made it so I could not reach the pedals (brakes) to stop the vehicle from rolling forward until I used the steering wheel to pull myself forward.
The contact owns a 2022 Ram 2500. The contact stated after he shifted the vehicle from the neutral (n) position of a completed car wash service, he then shifted the vehicle to the drive (d) position when the vehicle inadvertently accelerated at a rapid speed without warning while the brake pedal was depressed. As a result, the vehicle crashed into a nearby gate. No injuries were sustained. No medical attention was required. No police report was filed.
The contact owns a 2022 Ram 2500. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, he heard a grinding sound coming from the steering wheel. The air bag warning light was illuminated. The contact then stated that the steering wheel electrical functions started to malfunction. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the clockspring needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and the contact was advised to call the NHTSA Hotline.
