I was on my way home from work and when I came to a stop light, I tried to come a stop and when I tried to brake the car kept driving and I wrecked in to a fence and crashing into a tree.
Tl* the contact owned a 2006 scion xb. While driving 25 MPH, the vehicle veered to the right and left. The contact crossed into oncoming traffic and crashed into a mountain side. The air bags deployed. The contact sustained a fractured breast bone and ribs that required medical attention. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed and not diagnosed. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 73,000. Updated 09/29/16
I was pulling into my driveway when my car accelerated uncontrollably. I applied the brake with both feet and could not stop. I hit my other car in the driveway and that stopped me but damaged both vehicles. Since this occurred on private property I did not contact police.
Had vehicle for a year when my windshield cracked for the first time. A year later another crack appeared. I did research and it seems like this model in particular had windshield problems and continuously cracked easily. I believe this is a huge safety issue as it affects visibility tremendously and continues to be an ongoing occurrence. As most warranty have expired by now, a recall on these windshield should be in processed.
