My daughter was in process of pulling her car into the garage when it experienced sudden acceleration and crashed into the garage. My daughter was unable to stop the car as the brake system failed during the incident. She is now too terrified to drive the car. Subaru claims that the car is and has been operating as intended. The Subaru Eyesight, Anti-Lock Braking, Vehicle Dynamic Control systems all failed during the sudden acceleration event.
I am appealing to you for help with a dangerous problem. The engine of my new 2019 subaru crosstrek stalls when I jam on the break. This has happened twice on the road. Both times I was able to avert a fatal accident. 1.) the first time the engine shut down from a hard stop occurred the night of december 26th. The driver was on the highway, when he made a sharp break realizing he'd gone in the wrong direction. The car's engine shut down on the highway.
