The bike slips out of 2nd gear and goes to n if the load is to high. In first gear is does the same but not as much...going back to 2008 I was in a accident that I remember the bike went into n and I hit.

The rectifier for my 2007 m109r (vzr1800) is failing to charge my battery. I replaced the battery, assuming this was the reason the battery kept dieing, but this was obviously not the problem. Upon investigating "similar" problems with almost every other suzuki motorcycle, the problem is the rectifier and at a replacement cost of $ 235.00 without labor, this is unbelievable ! I don't understand why the m109r wasn't included in the recall as I and many other m109r owners are questioning is a known defect.

2nd gear transmission issue. As I pulled off from a green light in the city I moved into 2nd gear and the bike lost power like it wasn't in gear and then it launched itself and I almost hit the car in front of me. When I went to 3rd and 4th gear everything was fine until I had to go into 2nd gear it would pop out of gear.
