Truck surges forward when brakes are on but it has a mind of it's own. My toyota tacoma 2007 will start revving and red line and be nearly impossible to stop without turning the engine off and using the e-brake. There is a major problem with it and toyota denies to admit anything is wrong. This is the second time I have brought it to toyota and this time I was in a bad accident because it would not stop.

The vehicle would not downshift and he had to slam on the brakes in order to stop the vehicle. The failure occurred twice in june of 2009. The dealer could not duplicate the failure or provide further assistance. The manufacturer opened a case regarding the issue. The current mileage was 34,071 and failure mileage was approximately 33,900.
