Tl* the contact owns a 2012 audi a6. The contact stated that while sitting at a traffic stop, both the brake and accelerator pedals were erroneously depressed simultaneously. The contact stated that both pedals were too close in proximity. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and the manufacturer was contacted. The vehicle was not repaired or serviced. The failure mileage was 5,800 and the current mileage was 5,900.
The vehicle is having unintended episodes of acceleration. They occur while stopped or at reduced speeds such as pulling to a stop or parking.
Passenger occupant detection system switch went bad, disabling the airbag. $2,000+ quoted for repair. There is a recall on this model, this model year for that exact part malfunctioning but audi says my VIN is excluded.
I took my vehicle to repair for 2 recalls on 2/22/21, the next day 2/23/21 they called me telling me that I have to pay $ 550.00 for the repair. According to downtown audi tech the ECU of my vehicle is defective because they cannot communicate with the vehicle's computer, before taking the vehicle to repair the recalls it was in good condition since I changed the oil and connected my scanner to reset the maintenance message on the vehicle dashboard. This is absurd that they want to scam their customers.
