I have a 2007 audi a6 quatro. I was in a parking garage and needed to turn around. Vehicle was involved in an accident, backed into a cement pole, slowly, but enough to be felt. When I put the car in forward and began to move forward, the car accelerated on it's own at a very high rate of speed. We crashed head-on into a cement wall. I know many cases of unintended acceleration have been reported, with the conclusion that drivers hit the accelerator when they thought they were hitting the brake.

Purchased an audi a 6 2007 4 years ago. It turned itself off in drive mode 2 months after purchase. This has continued sporadically. It happens after driving the car for some time and then coming to a stop. I press on the accelerator to proceed and the car moves forward. By then, I am out in the intersection or in a lane with oncoming traffic. The mil light goes on, indicating the engine is turned off. There is no power steering and no way to move forward. The car's gear selector is still in drive mode.
