What owners wrote
While vehicle was parked and consumer was taking the key from the ignition switch steering wheel caught on fire, independent mechanic determined that hazard warning switch melted, and caused the fire. Also, turn signal and brake lights were inoperative.
Dt: three years ago the problem began. The owner pulled over to the side of the street and when the hazard lights were turned off then brakes went off as well and would not come back on. The main tail lights and brake lights did not work anymore. There was a recall and the owner did not receive the recall notice. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for service and the hazard light switch was replaced. The next time the hazard lights were used, the brake lights stopped working again.
