I was loading my 2001 chevy silverado z71. When both tail gate supports broke. I fell out of the back of my truck on my head luckily I was just scratched up but my truck was not as lucky I have 1,000 dollars worth of damage.
2001 chevrolet 1500 ext. Cab 4wd truck ABS system activates at low speed. The incident occured in a parking lot as the truck was pulling into a parking space. The ABS system activiated and there was a complete loss of breaking power. The truck hit the car in the parking space opposite the truck. Upon inspection of the truck, the front rotors were almost completely absent of a usable wear surface on the inside of the rotor, the external side of the rotor did not exhibit the same probelm.
My daughter missed a curve in heavy fog and hit a tree head on at about 40-45 MPH. The driver side airbag failed to deploy. The impact was a few inches left of center and was such that it moved the engine block back into the cab of the pickup. It should have deployed.
Anti-lock brakes on my 2001 chevrolet silverado engage when at slow speeds. I pulled the fuse on the anti-lock brakes until I can get fixed.
2001 chevy p/u. Previous recall regarding antilock breaking system engaging on dry payment is re-occuring after initial vehicle repair. In my opinnion this is a serious problem and has the potential to cause an accident. Dealer probably did minimal repair (temporary fix) which did not address the problem correctly.
