While driving on the freeway, traffic stopped but our car did not. The brakes were applied correctly and we had space to stop but we did not and rearended the vehicle in front of us. The 2nd time this happened on a city street when the brakes were applied suddenly. The car just did not stop. Mechanics can find nothing wrong with the brakes. GM recalled suvs with this problem. Is there a recall pending for our vehicle? Or how do we get this fixed?
