What owners wrote

When attempting to back the truck up, the backs of the seats are too high and it obstructs my view. One night while trying to back my truck up in my yard, my view was too obstructed and I hit a tree. The tailgate of my truck was down, and was damaged. It is un-repairable. I was backing up at about 5 MPH, so the airbags didn't open. This has been a problem from the beginning. I haven't contacted the manufacturer, but if you advise me to do so, I will.

April 2001 Crash

I have a 2000 chevy zr2. Both seat latches used to recline seats have broken off. I complained to a local dealership and the cost for the repair was quoted as $250 per seat. This is the third s-10 I have owned and am disappointed in the cheat metal used and the repair cost. The plastic third door handle also broke which was a $75.00 repair. My seats will have to stay broken.
