Tl*the contact owns a 2007 chevrolet silverado dur-max 2500. While driving approximately 55 MPH at night, the contact slammed on the brakes to avoid a crash. He then crashed into a semi-trailer and struck a boulder. Neither of the vehicle's frontal air bags deployed. A police report was filed. The contact's vehicle was destroyed and towed to a local auto shop. He sustained injuries.
Takata recall - it has now been over eighteen months since this recall was issued and nothing has been done. My understanding is that older models, in hot, humid climates, are most at risk. My vehicle is nine years old, and I reside in florida. While there has been no incident yet, I am reluctant to drive the vehicle in question. I cannot afford to replace it. Please expedite the solution for this.
