What owners wrote
Tl* the contact owns a 2004 chevrolet silverado diesel. The contact stated that while driving approximately 40 MPH, the vehicle would overheat. The failure would only occur when traveling on flat road surfaces, uphill or when pulling a trailer. The contact would shut off the engine until the engine was cooled in order to drive the vehicle any further. In addition, the contact stated if he would drive while the vehicle was running hot, it would stall.
After discovering an exhaust leak performed a visual inspection of the engine. I have a 2004 silverado with the 6.0l. I ave discovered that there are an abundance of these vehicles out there with the same problem. This is causing exhaust fumes to enter the engine compartment and cab of the vehicle.
