What owners wrote

Tl*the contact owns a 2007 chevrolet silverado. While driving 30-35 MPH, the speed does not increase on the vehicle, even when the accelerator pedal is depressed to the floor. This is a safety hazard when driving on the freeway. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, but nothing was repaired. The manufacturer acknowledged the failure, but stated that the vehicle was supposed to perform in that manner. The current mileage was 2,800 and failure mileage was 73.

GM has a design and/or manufacturing flaw in the transmission lines on the 2500hd. I have had mine replaced under warranty once, and need to have them replaced again. They only leak in cold weather when the rubber in the line shrinks at the crimp causing them to leak. The danger here is the fire potential. Due to the diesel regeneration process that burns off the diesel particulate filter and the heats it to extreme temperatures this has a potential fire risk. GM refuses to address the leaky transmission lines.
