Email FM carol leslie (pa) would like NHTSA to investigate the preset driver's side power seat memory recall button of the 2001 GM chevrolet tahoe, daughter samantha was killed when she became trapped between seat & b post. The preset seat button was pressed and suffocated the consumers daughter.
Safety issue: while traveling at highway speed, the drivers seat right side back support bracket failed. The only thing keeping it upright is the left side bracket and seat covering in tension. In my opinion, a seat bracket should not fail during the life of the vehicle. I do not push back on my seat, as I have seen others in there vehicles to create more space behind the steering wheel. In fact, I sit up close to the steering wheel in an upright position.
